A while ago Tatiana Kontouli from European Street Team asked me to participate in ‘My day is Friday’. I’ve made a small story in pictures from the moment I wake up till the time I go to sleep. Unfortunately, not all Fridays are like this one. I am currently so busy that I have to stay in front of my computer from morning to evening to get my job done. As I’ve told you before I participated in the great project of Camilla Engman. She wanted a book full of art about Morran, her sweet dog that unfortunately passed away one week ago. But Morran will live on in all those beautiful pieces of art. I’m so proud to be part of this project. Above, at the right side of the spread, you can see my illustration! Yippee! I’m so happy that this package arrived from the printing house today. A box filled with my brand new Christmas and New Year cards! It was a tough job to get them photographed, because the days are shortening over here and most of the time it’s too dark to take a decent picture. But well, now they are available at my Etsy shop. Don’t forget your dearest friends and family this year! Send them a nice card. ;-)
As you can see, I made this some time ago. It was the birth announcement card for my niece Lili. In about one month and an half Lili will be getting a sister, so I need to hurry up with a new illustration for the little girl’s card! By chance the illustration I made for Lili fits in this week’s theme on Illustration Friday: round. ;-)
This week was so busy, I couldn’t find the time to finish this piece for illustration friday somewhat sooner. But I’m happy that I’ve made it just in time. I hope you’ll like this vain creature. And for now: back to that bunch of work that is waiting for me. See you soon! Available in my Etsy shop.
The Christmas holidays are coming closer, which means busy times! I’m working hard to finish some greeting cards. I’d like to send them to the printer as soon as possible in order to get them on time in my online shop. The illustration above is a variation on one of the greeting cards. On that card the owl is awake, but to make it fit in this week’s theme on Illustration Friday I let the little fellow sleep ;-)
On October 15th Paloma was born. She’s the beautiful and cute daughter of a good friend of mine. I made her this illustration and I hope she’ll like it later on. Fortunately her mother likes it already ;-) By chance it happens to fit in this week’s topic of Illustration Friday: stripes.

I’m a faithful follower of Camilla Engman’s blog and a big fan of her work. Some weeks ago she started a project ‘open call for pictures to a book full of Morran‘. Morran is the name of Camilla’s cute dog. I couldn’t resist participating! Above you can see my contribution. I know Morran loves the forest, so that’s where I got my inspiration.
